BGC's Vancouver office is seeking an experienced senior geotechnical engineer with a background in tunnelling projects, detailed landslide studies and debris mobility modelling, hydrogeological studies, slope stability assessment and design.  The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background, 19 years relevant work experience, and an ability to manage multi-disciplined project teams working in remote and challenging environments.

Work Locations

Vancouver, British Columbia, with projects situated throughout the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Required Skills

• Review of geological models during construction;
• Aerial photograph interpretation;
• Geo-hazards, ground investigation planning, supervision and interpretation;
• Landslide investigation of both man-made slopes and natural hillsides with detailed geological field mapping and landslide diagnosis, including QRA;
• Project management;
• Client liaison;
• Business development skills including preparation of technical and fee proposals; and
• Expert witness services and preparation of expert witness reports
