BGC's Toronto's office is seeking an experienced senior geotechnical or geological engineer. The ideal candidate shall have a strong academic background, a minimum of 10-15 years relevant work experience, the ability to manage multi-disciplined project teams working in remote, challenging environments, and a desire to occasionally travel and work in remote areas.

Candidates shall possess an undergraduate degree in civil or geological engineering. A post-graduate degree specializing in geotechnical engineering is desirable. A strong understanding of geotechnical engineering and engineering geology is essential, as well as experience in dam design, foundation engineering and construction services; an understanding of rock mechanics and hydrogeology is desirable. Project management skills and a willingness to supervise and mentor junior staff are also necessary. Proven communication skills (English) are essential and Spanish language skills would be an asset. Candidates must be eligible for registration in Ontario as a Professional Engineer.

Work Locations

Toronto, Ontario, with projects situated throughout the Americas, Africa, Asia and Australia.
