BGC requires the services of an experienced Civil Drafting Technician. The qualified applicant must have experience in detail design, structural drafting, or geotechnical environments. The ideal candidate will be able to work and develop in a fast paced environment on their own and within a group.

The position requires the production of detail design drawings, cross-sections, 3D design, and plan maps. Understanding of geotechnical and civil design, construction drawings, geomatics, databases, is an asset.

This is a full-time 3 month Contract Employee position leading to a full-time position based on performance and mutual agreement.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Detail design drawings, cross-sections, 3D design, plan maps, earthworks for civil projects using Autocad 2009 and/or Civil 3D 2009

Required Skills

• AutoCAD experience including knowledge of version 2009
• Detail drafting experience
• An interest in learning from the company's experienced design, drafting and geomatics team members
• Strong interpersonal, time management and organization skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• The ability to effectively work with a team of professionals
