Hydroelectric - Numerical Modelling and Analysis
BGC maintains a current library of commercial software for geomechanical and hydrogeological modelling to analyse the behaviour of soil and rock slopes, underground openings and foundations. BGC has experience with most numerical modelling techniques used in geotechnical engineering, including finite element, boundary element, discrete element and finite difference models applied to problems involving stress-deformation analysis, ground surface subsidence, ground support systems, liquefaction analysis, saturated and unsaturated seepage analysis, geothermal analysis, rockfall evaluation and prediction of in-situ ground stresses in rock.
